Most in-house tests are included with our regular SWAMI/Nutritional medical visits. Although they can also be carried out separately at a reduced price. Our goal is to collect  information that will help us help you.

Common testing may include:

  • Complete Blood Count

Contact Regenerative Health Clinic to book your consultation or inquire about this test.

  • Blood Typing

Basic blood typing conducted in-house to determine your ABO and Rh (positive/negative) blood types.

OPUS patients will be given ABO, Rh, Secretor Status (FUT2), Kall, A1/A2, Duffy blood types.

SWAMI nutrigenomic patients, will be given a lab request (Quest, Lab Corp, etc) to find  ABO, Rh, A1/A2, and Lewis (secretor) Blood types.

    Hemoglobin A1C

Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is one of the most useful and important biomarkers available, It accurately predicts the risk of diabetes long before the disease advances, and it can be used to assess the impact of any form of therapy aimed at regulating blood sugar and insulin sensitivity.

By measuring average glucose over long periods of time. This one biomarker encompasses age-related glycation products (AGEs), glucose, insulin, and energy efficiency. There’s a lot of valuable information contained in this one measurement. You want to catch insulin resistance before it becomes a problem.

  • Indicin Testing

Indican is formed by an abnormal metabolism of tryptophan. This can be a useful tool for monitoring degeneration or improvement of your digestive system.

Indican is a by-product of putrefaction (protein degradation), usually in the intestine, but possibly in other locations as well. Putrefaction is the anaerobic bacterial decomposition of proteins.

Proteins that are not properly metabolized by the intestines and the liver will ultimately lead to indoles.

The maldigestion of protein can have ill effects on:

    • list
    • Gut dysbiosis
    • Water and hormone balance
    • Glycemic control
    • Overgrowth of bacteria in the intestine
  • BIA

BIA is a much more sophisticated than your bathroom scale, but just as painless. The Analyzer calculates your tissue and fluid compartments using an imperceptible electrical current passed through pads placed on one hand and foot as you lie comfortably on a table. Lean tissue, which is over 70% water, is a good conductor of electrical current. Fatty tissue, which is low in water, is not. Thus, the resistance to the flow of electrical current measured by the analyzer can be used to calculate the body composition.

A normal balance of body fat to lean body mass is associated with good health and longevity. Excess fat in relation to lean body mass, a condition known as altered body composition, can greatly increase your risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and more.

BIA enables early detection of an improper balance in your body composition, which allows for earlier intervention and prevention.

  • Hydrogen gas testing

Contact Regenerative Health Clinic to book your consultation or inquire about this test.

  • Hydrogen Breath Testing

Here at the Center of Excellence as part of our nutritional visits, we have each patient blow once into a hydrogen breath machine to get a baseline hydrogen breath measurement.

What are we looking for?  We are looking for Dysbiosis.  The most common symptoms of dysbiosis include gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, heartburn, fatigue and nausea.

The hydrogen breath test  can be used to aid in the diagnosis of a variety of gastrointestinal disorders such as fructose intolerance lactose intolerance  and intestinal bacteria overgrowth.

It is based on the principle that in humans anaerobic bacteria in the colon are able to digest sugars and carbs and convert them into gases, mostly hydrogen.  if a person is not digesting or absorbing sugars and carbs completely, it travels through the small intestine and enters the colon where bacteria digest it, producing a significant amount of hydrogen. Some of this hydrogen gas is released and exhaled in the breath where it can be measured.

Depending on how high your hydrogen level is, we may recommend coming back for a full hydrogen test.

A full hydrogen test includes fasting for 12 hours.  First thing in AM we take a baseline hydrogen blow. After we take the baseline blow, the patient consumes lactulose, a sweet syrupy drink We then take hydrogen breath readings every 15 minutes for the next hour.

  • Oxidative stress test

This is an in house urine test that all new SWAMI/Nutritional Patients receive at their regular appointment.

This test allows you to determine the amount of stress on the body caused by free radical activity.

Excessive amounts of free radical activity in the body can disrupt some important biochemical reactions in our cells, which can accelerate aging or enhance our susceptibility to disease.
