Jack Zangara earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic Medicine, fully accredited by both the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Connecticut Office of Higher Education.
Dr. Zangara served as an intern at the UB Chiropractic Clinic, Newington’s Veteran Hospital in Connecticut and Stony Brook University of New York’s Radiology Center. During this time he began using Active Release Therapy [ART] to treat patients, with notable results.
Dr. Zangara now specializes in Active Release Therapy, a highly advanced technique. Using ART, Dr. Zangara applies precise tension with patient movements—over 500 very specific movements—to correct issues with muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves.
Many patients report greater mobility and pain relief after just one session, and others experience permanent results. Using ART treatment coupled with chiropractic adjustment, Dr. Zangara helps patients achieve quick and often lasting relief from headaches, back and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, sports-related injuries, plantar fasciitis and many other conditions.
Dr. Jack Zangara is also skilled in the use of nutritional supplements to help inflammation, and works closely with athletes to heal sports injuries.
While studying psychology at Siena College, he was in a golf cart accident that severely injured his ankle and shoulder, resulting in surgery and extensive therapy. Like many patients, Jack decided to become actively involved in his own recovery. As an athletic trainer and bodybuilder, he was knowledgeable about physiology and holistic health, and committed to finding ways to treat pain and improve movement without surgery, drugs and long-term therapy. The results he experienced from chiropractic medicine were so positive that they became the impetus for him to become a chiropractor himself.
